San Jose Taiko
12:15 p.m. - 1:00 p.m.

Taiko is the Japanese word for drum. In North America, this term is used to describe both the Japanese drum itself and the art form of kumidaiko (ensemble drumming with Japanese drums). San Jose Taiko's dedication to the development of the taiko art form is evident not only through performances but also in its diverse educational programs.

Kawailehua Hula Ohana
1:30 p.m. - 2:30 p.m.

To perpetuate and educate the community of the Polynesian culture through its history, dance, language, traditions, and music; and to share the ohana (family) spirit with the public by giving back to the community and to those people and/or groups who are in need of assistance.

Ballet Folklorico Costa De Oro
2:45 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.

The Ballet Folklórico Costa de Oro is dedicated to the preservation of Mexican traditions and culture. Dance and music are the tools used to educate the youth and community about Mexico's rich and beautiful history.

Duniva Dance and Drum Company
3:45 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Formed in April 2007, Duniya Dance and Drum Company creates dance and music from Punjab, India, and Guinea, West Africa, as well as unique blends of these forms and beyond. The word duniya means “world” in a wide array of languages, including Punjabi, Arabic, Susu and Wolof. Duniya’s work embodies this word, as it explores the forces that have brought together the members of the company and their dance and drum styles, including, but not limited to, colonization, globalization, immigration, art, dance, music and love. For today's event, Duniya will be performing Bollywood and Bhangra dances.

5:00 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.

Kingsborough has created a huge following with their modern twist on authentic American rock. This independent group of musicians reflects the old school “Working Band” mentality with a heavy focus on raw high-energy performances. BAM magazine describes their performance as “rocking it like the big boys used to…..in the same way that Springsteen has always done.” Building a reputation for an incomparable live concert experience has led Kingsborough to perform with Weezer, ZZ Top, Joan Jett & The Blackhearts, and many more.

7:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.

Showcasing an eclectic mix of the best songs from the '70s and '80s through the hits of today, Livewire is a high-energy dance band, always in high demand.  You'll hear hits from Journey to Michael Jackson to Bruno Mars, and more!


This is Embarrassing
12:15 p.m. - 1:45 p.m

Indie Rock Trio with a funky bass and crazy drum.  The band plays songs from two independent albums with twists and turns at every live show.

Lainey & the Vamp
2:00 p.m. - 3:45 p.m.

Lainey & the Vamp began as a collaboration between guitarist Fan Yu (Fantana), guitarist/vocalist Elaine McIntyre Kim (Lainey) and drummer Bill Judd. Inspired by a wide range of interests spanning Latin rock to acoustic country, the group sought to explore how to create their own unique interpretations of a variety of songs from the 70’s, 80’s, 90’s through today.

Sunny and the Black Pack
4:00 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.

Sunny and the Black Pack was originally founded as a collective group of cutting edge producers.  Created from the finest creative lineage, each member brings his or her own plethora of unique focused talents to the team. This raw talent and experience enable the group to sustain the competitive advantage and creative differentiation necessary to keep creating incredible music, performing genres as Rock, Pop, Hip Hop, R&B, Soul, Funk, Reggae, and even Jazz.
