Prescription Drug Take-Back and Document Shredding Event
Dublin Police Services will be participating, along with the Drug Enforcement Administration, in this year’s national prescription drug “Take-Back Initiative.” The goal of the event is to collect potentially dangerous expired, unused, and unwanted prescription drugs for destruction. The free and anonymous collection event will take place on Saturday, October 22, 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., in the Civic Center parking lot at 100 Civic Plaza. Dublin Police Officers will collect tablets, capsules, and all other solid dosage forms of prescription medications, no questions asked. Intravenous solutions, injectables, and syringes will not be accepted. More information can be found at www.dea.gov.
City of Dublin residents are also welcome and encouraged to bring any type of documents containing personal or sensitive information to be professionally shredded on-site. The maximum drop-off is four boxes. Residents participating in the shredding event must provide a valid I.D. with a Dublin address.
