Volunteer Day

Dublin Pride Week Volunteer Day will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2016. Registration for Volunteer Day is full. Be sure to check back about our Creek Cleanup Volunteer Day which is on Saturday, September 10, 2016.
 
Food Drive
Non-perishable food items will be collected at both Safeway locations during the Volunteer Day event on April 30, in addition to Camp Parks during the week. The donations will be collected and presented to the Children's Emergency Council.

Poster & Essay Contest
The annual Dublin Pride Poster Contest is intended for students to demonstrate their artistic talents with artwork based on energy, water, and waste conservation. All students in grades K-12 are invited to participate.  This year's poster contest theme is "Energize with Dublin Pride!"

All students in grades K-12 are also invited to participate in the Dublin Pride Essay Contest, in which students share their views about energy, water, and waste conservation in written form. This year's theme is "What Does Energy Conservation Mean to You?" Check out the contest requirements for 2016.

All posters and essays must be dropped off at the student's school office by noon on Friday, April 29.
 

Household Hazardous Waste Collection and Compost Giveaway


Amador Valley Industries and the City of Dublin will once again offer Dublin residents safe disposal for unwanted household toxins. Residents can also pick up a free bag of compost. This event is scheduled for Saturday, May 7, 2016. Appointments are required and will be accepted until all appointments are filled. Sustainable Citizen Workshop


This engaging class explains how we are all part of the solution to reducing our resource consumption of waste, energy, water, and more. The workshop focuses on the principles of "Sustainable in 10" - ten actions that cost no money, create cost savings, and reduce one's environmental footprint.  The average "sustainable citizen" household can save over $550 per year!  The workshop is free, but registration is required.
