Teen volunteers will help you use the library's e-book collections. Learn how to find, check out, and download e-books and audio books from Overdrive and other e-book providers with the Library. They will help you set up your account, and download any apps that are needed. If you have been wanting to try e-books, this orientation will help you get started!
December 9, 2017, 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM @ Dublin Library
High school students are encouraged to join us for our monthly book chat meetings, which are held one Saturday each month. Register at the Information Desk and select a title you'd like to read from the books available (selection varies month to month). Read your selected title (each person reads a different title each month), and prepare a short book talk for the group. Attend the monthly meeting, and talk about new teen books! Each person will present their book, and the group can ask questions while learning about great new titles from their peers. Instructions for the book talk are given when you pick up a title. After the meeting, the book is yours to keep! Generously sponsored by the Dublin Friends of the Library.
October 14, 2017, 1:00 PM - January 28, 2018, 4:00 PM @ Dublin Heritage Park & Museums
This new exhibit explores Dublin's beloved building through local artists' watercolors, oil paintings, and photographs. Gain a new appreciation for Dublin's most iconic sites - the Gothic Revival-style Old St. Raymond Church (1859) and the Craftsman-style Kolb House (1910), to the ranch houses of 1960s suburbia. After being inspired, stop at the makers' station to create your own "Ode to Dublin" in mixed media, or take our new tour, "The Kolb House: A Craftsman Classic."
December 9, 2017, 8:30 AM - 1:00 PM @ Shannon Community Center
Come and enjoy a delicious hot pancake breakfast served with sausages, fruit and hot coffee or juice followed by the arrival of Santa Claus! This event benefits the Dublin High School Music programs. Plan to register early as this popular event is usually a sell-out! Bring you camera for holiday photos under the tree or with Santa after the breakfast.
December 9, 2017, 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM @ Dublin Police Services Lobby
